Dr. Mar Romero-Lopez is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston and Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital. She holds an MD, a master's in child psychology, a nursing degree, and a PhD (cum laude) from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain, and completed advanced clinical and research training in the United States.
Dr. Romero-Lopez leads an independent research program focused on neonatal nutrition, vitamin D supplementation, and metabolic bone disease in extremely preterm infants, supported by NIH, the Bone Disease Program of Texas, and the Gerber Foundation.
