After over a decade of experience working as a firefighter and emergency medical technician, I transitioned into a research career in Nutrition and Biochemistry. I went on to earn my PhD at Iowa State University (Ames, Iowa, USA) and have transitioned to a postdoctoral fellowship at the Mayo Clinic (Rochester, Minnesota, USA). My research in vitamin D has focused on understanding the physiological roles of conjugated vitamin D metabolites as well as a recent side venture on 24,25(OH)2D. I am truly looking forward to meeting with old and new Vitamin D colleagues and sharing great ideas!
