Ana Lúcia Severo Rodrigues is a Full Professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil), and holds a Research Productivity Fellowship (Level 1A) from the Brazilian National Research and Development Council (CNPq). She received a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) in 1987 and a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from the Federal University of Paraná (Brazil) in 1996. She is currently Section Editor of the Brain Research Bulletin and Editorial Board Member of the Brazilian Journal of Psychiatry. Her research interests focus on investigating the mechanisms underlying the effects of various therapeutic strategies, including vitamin D for major depressive disorder and anxiety disorders, characterizing behavioral and neurochemical alterations relevant to these psychiatric disorders.
