Sha Sha is a medically trained epidemiologist and biostatistician, currently a Scientist at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ). She earned her Ph.D. in Epidemiology from Heidelberg University and Master of Public Health (Advanced) from the Australian National University. Her research focuses on pharmacoepidemiology, leveraging real-world data to evaluate drug safety and effectiveness. A key area of her work explores the role of vitamin D in health outcomes, particularly its impact on inflammation, mortality, chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease and dementia, as well as its potential role in cancer prognosis.
